Yasemin

Hi. I’m Yasemin.

I’m a journalist, writer, visual designer and creative partner based in Sweden.

I’ve always been drawn to what lies beneath the surface. I’m fascinated by the way words become bridges, how stories soften separation and awaken understanding. To me, creating is a way of making the invisible visible. My work often begins with research: listening, asking the right questions, gathering information and finding patterns before deciding what form an idea should take.

I believe most projects don’t necessarily need more. They need clarity. This is probably where my different backgrounds make the most sense together.

My work moves between journalism, editorial design, branding, visual communication and fine arts. I’ve co-founded a local newsroom in Stockholm, worked as a television reporter, developed packaging from early concept through production, and worked with communication and design within tourism and diving. These experiences have taught me to move between different levels of a project.

 

Years of personal study have shaped my way of seeing just as much as formal education.  Today, many of these threads come together in Kantara — my first philosophical novel exploring how human relationships shape our evolution.
